Norman Malone

Norman D. Malone, 77, of Bettendorf, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at his home.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 pm. at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Graveside services will follow at Aledo Cemetery in Aledo, Illinois. Memorials may be made to King’s Harvest Pet Rescue of Davenport or to the Quad-City Animal Welfare Center of Milan.
Norman was born June 3, 1940 in Aledo, a son of Edwin C. & Theo Rosalie (Soenksen) Malone. He had attended the University of Illinois, majoring in animal husbandry and retired from John Deere in 1992.
Artistic and creative, Norman enjoyed growing roses and had been a rose judge throughout the Midwest.
Those left to honor his memory include his partner, Charles Minear of Bettendorf; his sister, Shirley Malone of Belvidere, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Edwin Malone Jr., Robert Malone, Gary Malone and Terry Malone.
