Odilia “Dee” Michuda, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died Friday, March 11, 2011 at Manor Care Utica Ridge, Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral Services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Birthright, CASI or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Dee was born in Blue Island, Illinois the daughter of Peter and Rose Zawisza. She married Gerald Michuda in Posen, Illinois.
Dee worked as a teacher and social worker in the Chicago suburbs and Illinois Quad-Cities for twenty-five years, retiring in 1998 from Robert Young Mental Health Center in Moline, Illinois.
She enjoyed church and community volunteer work, traveling, golf, gardening, exercising, craft work, singing in the church choirs and CASI Golden Tones, and attending various senior activities and theatrical productions in the area.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Gerald and her son, Michael Michuda, Iowa City, Iowa; her special nephew, Brett Zawisza, Fort Worth, Texas and relatives in the Chicago suburban area.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
