Patricia J. Hancock, 71, of Davenport, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Davenport Memorial Park in Davenport. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her memory.
Patricia was born October 26, 1940 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Leo and Viola Beatrice Wilkens Albers. She married Dale Hancock on March 11, 1961 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on January 28, 1996.
Patricia graduated from Davenport High School. She was very out-going, loved the outdoors and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Steven Hancock of Waterford, Pennsylvania, Kevin Hancock of Davenport and Daren Hancock and his wife, Liz Erwin-Hancock of Davenport; nine grandchildren, Justin, Kalum, Megan, Corey, Marisa, Autumn, Jacob, Kylie and Allyson; one brother, Ron (Sandy) Albers of San Mateo, California; and family friends, Cathy Hute and Liz Boyle.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
