Patrick H. “Pat” Hartenhoff, 62, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2020 at his residence.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2021, with inurnment at Rock Island National Cemetery. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Pat was born on July 10, 1958 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the son of Dennis and Marlene (Egge) Hartenhoff. In 1977, he joined the U.S. Army and served for three years before being honorably discharged. Following his military service, he began work as a mechanic. Pat loved working on cars and he made that his lifelong career. He enjoyed listening to classic rock, especially to Bob Seger. On the weekends, he enjoyed boating and camping with his family and friends. Pat will be remembered for his big heart and generosity. He loved his family and friends and would have done anything for them. He touched so many hearts, and those who knew him were fortunate to have him in their life.
Those left to honor his memory are his siblings, Norman Hartenhoff, Michael (Kim) Hartenhoff, Kelly (Terry) Miller, Scott (Kim) Hartenhoff and Deb Adkins; eleven nieces and nephews; and ten great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
