Patrick N. Holmes

Patrick Noel Holmes, 68, of Davenport, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport. There are no services currently being planned.

Patrick was born on April 11, 1956, in Davenport, the son of Edward and Mary (Voss) Holmes. He married Kathy M. Bennett on April 10, 1976, at the First Presbyterian Church, Davenport. He received his bachelor’s degree in history from Western Illinois University. He worked at as a Mortgage Banker for several years, retiring in 2012. 

Patrick was heavily involved with the Democratic Party; he was a history buff and a member of the Scott County Historical Society.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy of Davenport, his children, Jennifer (Bruce) Pennington of Davenport, Douglas Holmes of North Liberty, IA, his grandson, Jacob Pennington of North Carolina, his brothers, Michael Holmes (Paula Brown) of Cordova, IL, Daniel (Stella) Holmes of Clinton, IA, Dwight (Michelle) Holmes of Davenport, his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Brandon; Bethany Coleman, Teressa Smith and his dog, Reina.

He was preceded in death by his parents
