Patrick Rose

April 24, 1962 — May 1, 2017

Patrick G. Rose, 55, of Marietta, Georgia and formerly of Bettendorf, died Monday, May 1, 2017 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.  Private burial will take place at Davenport Memorial Park.  Contributions in Pat’s memory may be made to the family to benefit a foundation yet to be determined.

Pat was born April 24, 1962 in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Robert E. & Mary M. (Henrick) Rose.  A 1981 graduate of Bettendorf High School, Pat qualified at the state and regional levels in Pole Vaulting and had placed 13th nationally. He had also participated in Track and Field. Pat had also attended Scott Community College.

He was united in marriage to SheriLynn Fusselman on May 28, 1988 in Davenport.  Pat and Sheri moved to Georgia in 1987.  He had been employed as a Commercial Technician with the Padgett Group.  An avid outdoorsman, Pat also enjoyed woodworking.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, SheriLynn; his sister, Colleen (Jim) Anderson of Homer Glen, Illinois; his brothers, Mike Rose of Davenport and Kevin (Mary Ann) Rose of Bettendorf; his step-mother, Louise Rose of Bettendorf; his step-sister, April Harding of Bethesda, Maryland; his step-brother Bryan (Hyunjoo) Harding of Atlanta; his aunt, Judy (Al) Noftsker of Moline, Illinois; his uncle, Billy (Jane) Rose of Bettendorf; his mother-in-law, Jessie Catlin of Bettendorf; his sisters-in-law, Nancy Fusselman of Bettendorf and Judy Batson of Centralia, Illinois; his brothers-in-law, Jody (Elizabeth) Chadd of Charlotte, North Carolina and James Chadd of Charlotte; fifteen nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents.
