Patrick T. “Ted” Gill, 55, a resident of Albany, Illinois died on Monday, August 14, 2006 at University Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on August 6th.
A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, August 18, 2006 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
He was born September 11, 1950 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Richard Lee & Marguerite (O’Brien) Gill Sr. On October 20, 2000, he was united in marriage to Linda Gasch in Morrison, Illinois.
Ted was employed in construction with the Laborer’s Union, Local 309 of Rock Island, Illinois.
His grandkids and family were the joy of his life. Some of the things he enjoyed were Franklin Mint die-cast cars, motorcycles and his beloved Corvette.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Linda; his sons, Liberty C. (Rachel) Gill of Bettendorf, Justin L. Gill of LeClaire, Iowa and Nicholas T. Gill of Davenport, Iowa; his step-daughters, Lana Stropes and Theresa McDaniel, both of Albany; his grandchildren, Madelyn Nicholas Jr., Taylar, Brittany and Riley; his sisters, Sandra Collier of LeClaire, Judy Harris of Davenport and Peggy Huckeba of Palestine, Texas; his brothers, Robert and Gerald, both of LeClaire, Ronald and Dennis, both of Bettendorf and Michael of Henderson, Nevada; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Ted was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jewell; his brothers, Richard Lee. Gill Jr. and Ernest Ronda Gill; and by his parents.
