Patse "Pat" K. Tharp

Patse “Pat” K. Tharp, 74, a resident of Bettendorf, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 24, 2007 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Bettendorf Presbyterian Church where she was a member.
Pat was born April 19, 1932 in Bettendorf, the daughter of Loy J. & Lorinne E. (Johnson) Conklin. She was united in marriage to Charles R. Tharp on June 24, 1950.
Pat retired in 1991 after 24 years of service with the Bettendorf School System. She was also a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Pat will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Charles; her daughter and son-in-law Vicki J. and Dennis Petersen, of Davenport; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey R. and Jackie Tharp, of Blue Grass, Iowa; her grandchildren, Jason Sweeney, Tamara Bohland and her husband, Marcus, Jeffery “J.R.” Tharp, Kelly Petersen, Kim Petersen, and Kyle Petersen; and her great-grandchildren, Brianna, Tyler, and Hayden Bohland.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, James Conklin and Donald Conklin; and her step-sister, Janet S. Sheridan.
