Paul Ramirez, 58, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa died Friday, December 24, 2004 at Trinity at Terrace Park Hospital, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born June 30, 1947 in Harlingen, Texas, the son of Agraciano & Antonia (Romero) Ramirez. On April 16, 1977, he was united in marriage to Mary M. Miller in Bettendorf.
Paul was employed as an assembler with John Deere Harvester in East Moline, Illinois since 1974. In earlier years, he worked for 10 years at Bear Manufacturing.
He was a member of the United Auto Worker Union, Local 865 of East Moline.
His favorite things in life were his beloved family and his many, many friends. He also enjoyed vintage cars and motorcycles as well.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Mary; his children, Paul J. Ramirez of Bettendorf, Alisha Ramirez of LeClaire and Antonio M. Ramirez of LeClaire; his grandchildren, Antonio Jr., Isabella Marie and Dakota Andrew; his sisters, Maria Miller and Norma Zamora, both of Bettendorf and Carmen Ramirez of Iowa City, Iowa; his brothers, Yesical of Springfield, Ohio, Carlos of Bettendorf, Emecio of Green Rock, Illinois, Raphael of Davenport and Agraciano Jr. of Davenport; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his nephew, Danny Allen Ramirez; and his brother-in-law, John P. Miller.
