Paul R. Newlin

Paul R. Newlin, 86, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa and formerly of Des Moines, Iowa and Panora, Iowa died on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf. Private family services will be held at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born April 12, 1919 in Earlham, Iowa, the son of Roy & Edith (Mott) Newlin. He was united in marriage to Margaret Evelyn Kiser in Des Moines on October 15, 1944.
Paul was employed by Bridgestone-Firestone in Des Moines for 35 years and was a member of the Methodist Church and the Panora Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; his daughters & sons-in-law, Patricia & Robert Damron of Yuba City, California, Judith & Edward Lawrence of Bozeman, Montana and Jacqueline & Clayton Naylor of Milan, Illinois; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, four brothers and a son, Brian Paul Newlin.
