Peggy A. Peters, 75, of Bettendorf, died Friday, December 8, 2017 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Peggy was born October 30, 1942 in Davenport, the daughter of Ernest & Thelma (Thompson) Woods. She was united in marriage to Donald Peters on June 30, 1962 in Davenport. He preceded her in death in August of 1994.
Peggy retired in 1995 form Bettendorf High School where she worked in food service. She was loved by her family and enjoyed camping for many years.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Tammy (John) Norris and Sandy (Kris) Johnson, both of Davenport; 4 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her sister, Nancy Carson of Clinton; her brother, Robert Woods of Bettendorf and her significant other, Robert Hintze.
In addition to her husband, Peggy was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Thorndyke and her brother, Raymond Woods.
