Philip C. Bringman, 79, a resident of Princeton, Iowa, died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at his home, surrounded by family.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Princeton Presbyterian Church in Princeton. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice or Princeton Presbyterian Church. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on August 19, 1936 in Akron, Iowa, Phil was the son of Harold and Ora (Talbott) Bringman. On February 7, 1958 in Worthington, Minnesota, he married Geraldine J. Malcom.
Phil worked as an electronic technician for AT&T. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards and in his younger days, playing softball and skiing. Phil cherished his time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Geraldine; children, Connie (Scott) Carter of Princeton, James (Kathy) Bringman of Gig Harbor, Washington, Cindy (Paul) Carter of Princeton and Cari Bringman of Princeton; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Boyer and Ruth Moses; brothers, Walter, Paul and David.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
