Priscilla A. Curtis, 80, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 P.M., Monday, June 11, 2007 at Grace United Methodist Church, Davenport. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Rock Island County.
Priscilla was born May 17, 1927 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Henry & Marian (Lee) Curtis. She served on the Board of Directors at Royal Neighbors of America in Rock Island as an editor and fraternal advisor. She retired after 46 years of employment.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Rock Island and had served as a liturgist at Memorial Heights United Methodist Church in Rock Island.
She was a Green Bay Packers fan, and had enjoyed golfing, fishing and baseball. She was also known as a multi-instrumentalist who could play almost any instrument.
Those left to honor her memory include her nieces, Heidi Goff and her husband, Robert, of Davenport and their daughter, Leanna and her children, Devin and Raina, Susan Helton and her husband, David, of Davenport and their children, Robert and Sydney; her nephews, John McCoy and his companion, Mark Karagas, of New Mexico, Kyle McCoy of Davenport and Colin McCoy, of Davenport; and her cousin, Claudia Hansen of Janesville, Wisconsin.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Charlotte McCoy; and her great-great niece, Kaylee.
The family would like to give specials thanks to Rosie and Jenn of Beacon of Hope Hospice for all their care and comfort during this time.
