Ralph Butler

Ralph E. Butler, 80, a resident of Davenport, died Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Rock Island Memorial Park in Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
Born on July 4, 1935 in Rock Island, Ralph was the son of Frank E. and Annie C. (DeLoach) Butler.
Ralph worked as an inspector at the Farmall Plant in Rock Island for 20 years. He enjoyed playing pool and ping-pong.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Cathy (Garry) McCollom of Danville, Virginia, Debbie Bryant of Washington, Iowa, Pam Haussmann of Davenport, Rebecca “Rusty” Salazar of Pearland, Texas, Vickie Bennett of Sunbury, Pennsylvania and Tasha (John) Funte of Davenport; sons, Ralph Butler, Jr. of Coralville, Iowa, Bill (Valerie Greenlee) Butler of Davenport and John Stewart of Waterloo, Iowa; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Sharon (Jack) Bradt, Larry (Janice) Butler and Wayne Butler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Johnny.
