Randy L. Bloomingdale

Randy Bloomingdale, 63, of LeClaire, Iowa passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Genesis Medical Center -East Campus, Davenport.  

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, February 21st at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday morning at the funeral home.    Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire.  Memorials may be directed to the family, to be used for a future contribution in memory of Randy.

Randy was born on March 8, 1960 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, the son of Tommy and Eileen (Schroeder) Bloomingdale.  He graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 1979.  On April 20, 2005, Randy was united in marriage to Wendy Asmus McKnight.

Prior to his retirement in 2023, he worked for the City of Davenport as a sewer equipment operator for 22 years.   Randy loved spending time in his yard and took pride in keeping it well maintained.  

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Wendy Bloomingdale of LeClaire; his children, Shelby (Veronica) Bloomingdale of Davenport, James “Michael” (Alex) Larson of Davenport, Allison (Jason) McKnight-Griebel of LeClaire, and Charles (Julie) McKnight of Bettendorf; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Les (Jolynn) Bloomingdale of Kiester, Minnesota, LuAnn (Eric) Waters of Davenport, Joyce (Tom) Kunde of Davenport, Brent (Ellen) Bloomingdale of Bettendorf, and Todd (Theresa Bauer) Bloomingdale of Schofield, Wisconsin; numerous nieces and nephews; and his two beloved canine companions, Bailey and Molly.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
