Rebecca J. Kane, 63, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to Gilda’s Club of the Quad-Cities.
Becky was born November 26, 1956 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Jackie & Imogene Brown-Saunders. She was a 1976 graduate of West High School in Davenport. She was united in marriage to Steven P. Kane Sr. on November 15, 1996 in Davenport.
Becky had been employed in the bakery department at Hy-Vee in Bettendorf. She and Steve had also owned and operated the Whistle Stop Java Shop in Milan, Illinois for fifteen years. Becky had also been a member of the Lions Club of Milan.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Steve Kane Sr. of Bettendorf; her daughter, Breanna Kane and her fiancé Brianpaul Glaudel of Bettendorf; her mother, Imogene Brown-Saunders of Davenport; her brother Richard Brown of Moline, Illinois; her step-children, Steven Kane Jr. and Sarah Jean Davis, both of Texas and Jocelyn Kiddy of Florida; her aunt and uncle, L.N. and Dorothy Humphreys of Greenville, Tennessee; several cousins and a nephew.
Becky was preceded in death by her father, Jackie Brown; and her nephew, Cody Brown.
