Regina A. Hacker, 88, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died Sunday, November 23, 2003 at the Bettendorf Healthcare Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society.
She was born March 17, 1915 in Petersburg, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph S. & Lee Etta (Luttrull) Richards. On June 4, 1932, she married Kenneth C. Hacker in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1948.
Regina was a homemaker and also worked as a housekeeper and in the kitchen at the former Mercy Hospital in Davenport.
She was a long-time member of Grandview Baptist Church in Davenport. Among the things she enjoyed were gardening and the companionship of her cats.
Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Gary Hacker of Colona, Illinois, Randall Hacker of Monument, Colorado and Daryl Hacker of LeClaire, Iowa; twenty-five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; her sisters, Norda and Leveda, both in Indiana, Mary, in California and Medrith of Montpelier, Iowa; and her brother, Robert Richards of Ava, Missouri.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Dean; her daughter, Darla Armstrong; and her brothers, Carl & Delbert.
