Richard William “Dick” Beuse, 83, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa died peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 20, 2013 with his beloved family at his side.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 24, 2013 the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Jack’s Cemetery in rural LeClaire. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice or the Princeton Volunteer Fire Department.
Dick was born in Davenport, Iowa on March 31, 1929 to Bill & Helen (Hartog) Beuse. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1950 until his honorable discharge in February of 1956. On August 8, 1957, he was united in marriage to Jane “Diane” Pyle in Aledo, Illinois.
He was a pattern maker by trade and along with his brother, Donald, founded & owned Beuse Pattern Works in LeClaire which they operated for 30 years.
Dick enjoyed boating & woodworking and made many beautiful pieces of furniture for his home and for his family. He loved being with his “girls” and his grandchildren.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Diane; his daughters, Lori (Dana) Biles of Eldridge, Iowa, Kathy (Robin) Little of Princeton, Iowa and Denise (Perry) Grant of LeClaire; his grandchildren, Shelby (Mitch) Fogle of Park View, Iowa, April Allinger of Davenport and Gavin Grant of LeClaire; his great-grandson, Nykolus Fogle of Park View; his brother, Jack (Gloria) Beuse of Princeton, Iowa; his sister-in-law, Beverly Beuse of LeClaire; and his beloved little canine companion, “Mindy.”
Dick was preceded in death by his son, Michael William Beuse; his parents; his brother, Donald Beuse; and his parents-in-law, George & Gwen Pyle.
