Richard Ray Hunt, 69, a resident of Bettendorf, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Trinity Bettendorf.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to Honor Flight of the Quad Cities.
Born on October 19, 1945 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Jack and June (Pearce) Hunt.
Richard served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. Richard retired from Alcoa after 32 years of service. He enjoyed reading and visiting with his very dear friends.
Survivors include a special cousin, Linda (David) Barker; many very dear friends; a niece, Sara and a nephew, Steven.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Hunt; and a special cousin, Susan Zirbes.
