Richard E. “Rick” Judas, 68, of Davenport, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 30, 2012 at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Davenport. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be held in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Rick was born October 26, 1943 in Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Earl and Evelyn (Weibel) Judas. He was united in marriage to Vicky Neece on August 7, 1965 St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Davenport.
He had been employed with Wonder Bread in Davenport for 40 years. An avid Green Bay Packers fan, he enjoyed all kinds of sports and golfing. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and taxi driving them to where they needed to go. He also enjoyed gambling with his wife, Vicky.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Vicky; his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca & Brian Stineman of Walcott, Iowa; his grandchildren, Cole, Laura & Kiley Stineman; his brother and sister-in-law, John ‘Jack’& Mae Judas of Oelwein, Iowa; two nephews; one niece; his aunt, Marlys Schrader of Oelwein, Iowa; several cousins; and special family friends, Don, Nancy & Brad Barton, Eldon Baxter and Opal Brickley.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents; and his mother & father-in-law, Dorothy & Paul Neece.
