Richard Mcnurlen

Richard C. McNurlen, of LeClaire, Iowa, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at Riverview Manor in Pleasant Valley, Iowa.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Buffalo Bill Museum or the LeClaire Fire Fighter’s Association in Richard’s memory.
Richard was born May 30, 1939 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Richard L. and Josephine (Fontaine) McNurlen. On June 2, 1961, Richard united in marriage to Jo Ann Rodgers in Nashua, Iowa.
He was employed in the advertising department of Deere & Company, for over 25 years before his retirement. Richard was a former volunteer fireman and a member of the Buffalo Bill American Legion Post.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife Jo Ann of LeClaire; his son David (Krista) McNurlen of Waterloo, Iowa; his grandchildren Nathan and Katherine; his sisters Jean Wilson Claeys, of Delmar, Iowa and Jody Haygood of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Paul McNurlen.
