Richard Mooty

Richard G. Mooty, 64, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2021 at his home.

A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 30, 2021 at 9 Oakmont Drive in Coal Valley, Illinois.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of his son, Dustin

Richard was born January 2, 1957 in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Glenn & Shirlee (Corell) Siefker.  Richard was a graduate of Geneseo High School.  He had served in the United States Marine Corps.  Richard was employed as a truck driver and was in construction.

Those left to honor his memory include his son and daughter-in-law, Dustin & Tara Mooty of Davenport; his grandson, Wesley; his mother, Shirlee Mooty of Westminster, Colorado; and his adoptive father, Dale Mooty of Coal Valley.

Lo, there do I see my father. Lo, there do I see my mother. And my sisters and my brothers. Lo, there do I see the line of my people. Back to the beginning. Lo, they do call to me. They bid me take my place among them in the halls of Valhalla. Where the brave may live forever!
