Richard A. Mulvania

Richard A. Mulvania, 67, of LeClaire, Iowa died on Sunday, January 28th, at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House. 

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 31st, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.  Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire. Visitation is from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Scott County Humane Society or First Presbyterian Church of LeClaire.  After the burial, the family invites you to a Celebration of Life from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. at the Mississippi River Distilling Company Celebration Center in LeClaire.

Richard was born in Davenport on April 11, 1956, the son of Clarence and Iola (Nickell) Mulvania and was a graduate of Pleasant Valley High School.  On June 3, 1978, he was united in marriage to Debbie Lively in Princeton, Iowa.

He retired from the Alcoa Company several years ago after 40 years of service.

Richard was an avid golfer who also enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, bowling and loved coaching his son’s baseball teams.  He was a loving husband, Dad & Papa and dearly loved his dogs, Rosy & Foxy.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Debbie; his children, Megan (David) Cervantes of Ft. Myers, Florida, Matt (Amanda) Mulvania of Melbourne, Florida and Barry (Genni) Mulvania of Davenport; his grandchildren, Madison, Lola, Cole, Max, Jett and Lilly; his sisters, Shirley (Fred) Harris of Bettendorf, Joyce (Gene) Martzhan of LeClaire and Donna Paarman of Wheatland, Iowa; and many other relatives and wonderful friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ken in 2011, Ron in 1998 and by his parents.
