Richard Payne

Richard Payne, 64, a resident of Davenport, died Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday February 20, 2008 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family.
Richard was born September 19, 1943 in Collinsville, Mississippi the son of Elliot and Clemmie (Hardy) Payne. He was united in marriage to Ester Kelly on March 15, 1964 in Oxford, Mississippi.
Richard was retired and enjoyed to hunt and loved to ride his motorcycle.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Ester of Davenport; his daughter, Veronica Payne of Davenport; his step-daughters, Allie Kelly of Rock Island and Delores (Wendell) Prude of Davenport; his son, Ritchie Payne of Davenport; his step-son Joseph Kelly of Davenport; his grandchildren, K’voscia, Kaleb and Kiaya; his step-grandson Darrell; his great-grandchildren, Kenell and Katreall; his brothers, Oliver Payne of Collinsville, Mississippi, Roger Payne of Collinsville, Mississippi, William Payne of Davenport, Clyde Hardy of Davenport and Charles Hardy of New Jersey and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
