Richard A. Hamilton, Sr.

Richard A. Hamilton, Sr., 73, of LeClaire, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday evening at the funeral home. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
Richard was born September 10, 1933 in LeClaire, the son of Roy & Ruth (Kirk) Hamilton. He was a graduate of LeClaire High School. He farmed in LeClaire for all of his life, and will always be remembered as enjoying the company of his neighbors and many friends.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryl & Dean Glunz, of Eldridge, and Sharon & Todd Vershaw, of Bettendorf, Iowa; his sons, Rick Hamilton, of Eldridge, Randy Hamilton, of Princeton, Iowa, and Jeff Hamilton, and his wife, Marci, of Eldridge; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Dorothy Kelley, and her husband, Jack, of Bettendorf, and Marilyn Purcell, of LeClaire.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marcia Gregory; and his brother, Donald.
