Richard “Rick” Alan Rice, 56, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Manor Care-Locust in Davenport.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5 PM – 7 PM on Friday, February 28, 2014, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will take place at Russell Cemetery in Ozone, Arkansas at a later date. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice in Rick’s memory.
Rick was born September 15, 1957, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Steven and Shirley (Morris) Rice. He worked as a telemarketer and enjoyed reading.
Those left to honor his memory include his father Steven (Beverly) Rice; his brothers Steven (Crystal) Clark, Ronald (Shawn) Rice, and Roger Rice; his nieces Rachel Reed, Rianna Rice, Reiley Rice, Hope Mieze, Sherry Meershall, and Amber Contreras; his nephews Elijah and Noah Alvarado; and his great niece Lilly Beckley. He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Simpson.
