Richard W. "Dick" Schutte

Richard W. “Dick” Schutte, 54, of Davenport, died Monday, May 18, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
Dick was born June 7, 1954 in Cresco, Iowa, the son of Donald & Betty (Korner) Schutte. He was united in marriage to Joanne Marvin on December 16, 1972 in Davenport.
Dick retired in 1995 from Alcoa, Davenport Works where he had been employed as an Ingot Caster. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed western films and was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings.
Those left to honor his memory include his beloved wife, Joanne; his sons Donald Schutte of East Moline, Illinois, Ron Misfeldt of East Moline and Dennis (Angela) Schutte of Davenport; his grandchildren, Jolene, Dante, Brody and Rylan Wayne; his sister, Janice Lapsey of Moline, Illinois; his brothers, Roger (Lori) Schutte and Ronald Schutte, both of Davenport; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents.
