Rick A. Finley

Richard A. "Rick" Finley, 50, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Friday, November 3, 2006 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport, Iowa following an extended illness.
His funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born February 4, 1956 in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Andrew & Dorothy (Dieckman) Finley. On January 10, 1998, he was united in marriage to Rhonda R. Ruggeberg at the Old St. Anne's Church in Long Grove, Iowa.
Until his health prevented him from working, Rick was employed in sales & service for Brenney's Motorcycle Clinic of Bettendorf.
Rick enjoyed motorcycles, 4-wheeling and ATV's. Animals were a favorite of Rick's, especially his two dogs and three birds.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as a Private First Class in 1975.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Rhonda; his sons, Matthew Finley and Charlie Finley, both of River Falls, Wisconsin; his step-sons, Brad Welvaert and Dustin Welvaert, both of Bettendorf; his mother, Dorothy Boswell of Huntsville, Alabama; his father, Andrew Finley of Arcadia, Florida; his sister, Becky Hirschfield of Huntsville, Alabama; and his brothers, Mike Richards of Glendale, Arizona and Chuck Richards of Chandler, Arizona.
