Bob was born March 8, 1958, in Davenport, the son of William & Nancy (Trainor) Cummins. He was united in marriage to Vicki Cover on December 10, 1978 and later to Lisa Powers on April 2, 1992.
Bob loved camping, boating, old cars, grilling out and spending time with his family. He was a man of few words, but he had a big heart and anyone he met will never forget the way his presence made you feel or his need for sarcasm and witty jokes. Bob loved the Cubs, the Iowa Hawkeyes, Budweiser (in a bottle) and his Pepsi. Most of all Bob loved his five children and fourteen grandchildren.
Bob joined his family business, Cummins Screw Products when he was 14 years old and basically grew up in the shop. In later years, he worked at Eden’s Automatic for many years with family and retired from Uniparts Olsen in March 2021.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Ami (Neil) McReynolds, Jody Cummins-Almanza and Sara (Chad) O'Neill; his sons, Cody Cummins (Bailey Sandman) and Robby (Amy) Cummins; his step-son, Dalton Powers; fourteen grandchildren; his sisters, Mary (John) Oxendine and Penny (Bill) Fer; and his brothers, Bill (Bette) Cummins, Jim (Penny) Cummins and Steve (Karen) Cummins.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
