Robert Holmes

Robert H. Holmes, 85, of Bettendorf, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport.
There will be no services held for Mr. Holmes. Private burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Albia. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center in care of McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.
Born on January 20, 1928 in Hocking, Iowa, Robert was the son of John George and Elsie (Harwood) Holmes.
Robert worked as an accountant for Alcoa in Bettendorf for 30 years. He enjoyed his dogs, raising Papillions and Affenpinschers.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
