Robert Spencer

Robert P. Spencer, 63, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at his home.

There will be no services or visitation and cremation rites will be accorded.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bob was born February 27, 1959 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of John V. & Catherine E. (Coady) Spencer.  He was united in marriage to Kristine C. Kennedy on October 25, 1997 in Bettendorf.

Bob had attended Moravia High School.  He had been a contract mail carrier in early years and retired from Dohrn Transfer in 2020 after 25 years.

Bob was a life-long avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. He enjoyed riding his Harley and motorsports of all kinds.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Kris; his children, Lisa Spencer (Tom Kerns) of Centerville and Coady Spencer of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Abby VanDeVenter of Albia and Lauryn Kerns of Centerville; and his great- granddaughter, Lilly Ciska of Albia.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Dennis Spencer.
