Robert G. Schulte

Robert G. Schulte, 61, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Wednesday,
November 30, 2005 at his home following a brief illness.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday,
December 3, 2005 at the Bettendorf Presbyterian Church, 1200 Middle Road in
Bettendorf. The family will greet friends following the service at the
church. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Bob’s
memory to the American Cancer Society. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home,
Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born February 9, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of William
Charles & Eleanor Emma (Bauer) Schulte. On August 19, 1967, he & Judith
Lynn Merrilees were united in marriage at Cleves, Ohio.
Bob was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with degrees in
Electrical Engineering and in Business. In addition, he had completed his
Master’s degree work at the University of Louisville.

He was employed as Manager, Quality Systems and Reliability, with The HON
Company of Muscatine, Iowa. During his many years of unwavering service, Bob
lead the development of the HON Quality Audit System for the Company’s plants
and distribution centers. As a certified quality auditor and examiner he was
involved in the IRPE (Iowa Recognition for Performance Excellence) as well as
served on several BIFMA (Office Furniture Trade Association) committees
including Quality and Supply Chain. From these experiences Bob became one of
the authors of the BIFMA Supplier Audit Process and was recognized by Governor
Vilsek of Iowa for his service to the State of Iowa and it’s economy through his
IRPE examiner skills and service.


Bob enjoyed sailing and was an avid fisherman. Some of his most enjoyable
times were spent during the summer months with family and friends at Walloon
Lake in Petoskey, Michigan.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Judith; his daughters,
Kimberley Jule (Chuck) Scott of Montgomery, Illinois and Stacia
Lynn (Terry) Kiss of Cleveland, Ohio; his son & daughter-in-law, U.S. Army
Major Robert C. & Janel Schulte of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Chase,
Riley, Mason, Mackenzie, Caleb, Alex & Taylor; his brother & sister-in-law,
William C. Jr. & Janet Schulte of Cincinnati; along with many cousins and
beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine; and by his parents.
