Robert P. "Bob" Chapman

Robert P. "Bob" Chapman, 62, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died Saturday, March 20, 2004 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday, March 22, 2004 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the family. As per his request, his body will be cremated.
Bob was born June 6, 1941 in Davenport, the son of Russell & Ruth (Griest) Chapman. On August 25, 1960, he was united in marriage to Martha E. Davis in Davenport.
He was employed by the Iowa Department of Transportation for 18 years, retiring in April of 2003.
He was a member of the Davenport Moose Lodge and in his spare time, enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding, hunting & camping.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Martha; his sister & brother-in-law, Mary Ann & Richard Brabson of Bloomington, Illinois; his brothers, Raymond Chapman and Richard Chapman, both of Davenport; his sister-in-law, Ellie Chapman of Davenport; and his nieces & nephews, Andy Chapman, Jason Chapman, Douglas Chapman, Shirley Dailey, Cheryl Chapman and Michelle Chapman.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Bradley; his brother, Russell; his parents; and his niece-in-law, Theresa Chapman.
