Roger Cook, 68, a resident of the Handicapped Development Center in Davenport, died Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Manor Care, Locust St. in Davenport.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 2, 2016 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the family.
Born on July 12, 1948 in Fairfield, Iowa, Roger was the son of Alvey and Eva (Edler) Cook. Roger enjoyed music, dancing and Roy Rogers.
Survivors include his brother, Randy (Irma) Cook of Davenport; sister-in-law, Julie Cook of Fairfield; nieces and nephews, Regina (John) Blumer-VanDeWalle, Angela (Ron) Crino, Shari (Bob) Bowman, Kassie (Steve) Mercer, Matthew Williams, Dalton Cook and Harley Cook; many great nieces and nephews; uncle, Carl Jackson; a special cousin, Pat (Voughn) Moore; and his family at the Handicapped Development Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Renny and Rocky; and an aunt, Wanda “Nana” Edler.
Roger’s family would like to give a special thank you to the Handicapped Development Center for their wonderful care to Roger during his life.
