Ronald Mclain

Ronald L. McLain, 75, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Bettendorf.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Harley Corins, 1708 State St. in Bettendorf.  Memorials may be made to the family.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born in Davenport, Iowa on May 10, 1945, the son of Kenneth and Henrietta (Karasak) McLain.  In June of 1993, he was united in marriage to Deborah L. VanWinkle in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ron was a self-employed siding contractor for many years.  He enjoyed visiting the casinos, playing golf, singing and playing the guitar.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Deborah; his daughter, Chandra McLain of Davenport; his son, Troy (Caroline) McLain of Scottsdale, Arizona; his step-son, David (Kim) Rose of Bettendorf; and his grandchildren, Madilyn, Lucas, Olivia, Tyler, Jullian, Kiley, Sophia and Xander.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
