Ronald Troxel

Ronald J. Troxel, 50, of Bettendorf, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at UnityPoint Health Trinity in Bettendorf.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 24, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at his sister Freda Merrell's home, 2504 Cody Street in Bettendorf.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his daughter Shelby.

Ron was born April 23, 1969 in Iowa City, the son of Glenn E. & Ruby Mae Inez (Arnold) Troxel.

He graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1987 and was a long-time employee at Elanders Americas, formally Midland Press.

Ron will always be remembered for his unique sense of humor, quick wit, and love of music. Always a kid at heart, Ron enjoyed making people laugh and having a good time.

Those left to honor Ron’s memory include his daughter, Shelby (Jason) Littig of Davenport; his grandchildren, Emery, Wyatt and Julian; his fiancé, Alyssa Weber of Bettendorf; his sisters, Freda Merrell of Bettendorf, Glenda (Mike) Bixby of Davenport and Kim (Wally) Christensen of Bettendorf; and his brother, Mike Troxel of Arlington, Texas.,

He was preceded in death by his parents.
