Ronald Yoke

Ronald F. Yoke Jr., 65, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died Friday, June 3, 2011 at Trinity Bettendorf, Bettendorf, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the time of service. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois.

Ronald was born December 28, 1945 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Ronald F. and Wanda M. (Murphey) Yoke Sr. He was united in marriage to Beverly J. Hurst on November 24, 1968 in Moline, Illinois. She preceded him in death February 6, 2010.

He served his country in the Viet Nam war as a member of the United States Army.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughters Sonya Showens, Davenport and Leann Yoke, Arizona; his sons, Jassen Yoke, Bettendorf and Jeff Yoke, Davenport’ his grandchildren, Monica Capps, Davenport, Kristen & Caitlin Showens, Davenport and Brittany and Jacob Yoke, Davenport; his great-grandson, Jeffry Capps, Davenport; his mother, Wanda Yoke, Davenport; his sisters, Elzora Lopez, Davenport and Jenny Kae, Terre Haute, Indiana; his brothers Eldon Yoke, Davenport and Larry Yoke, Garland, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Beverly he was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Sr. and his brother John Yoke.
