Rose Lee (Kirkpatrick) Kroeger, 83, a resident of Bettendorf, died Friday, December 29, 2017 at UnityPoint Health Trinity Bettendorf.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or Scott County Humane Society. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on May 2, 1934 in Sigourney, Iowa, Rose was the daughter of Roy and Delphia (Morse) Kirkpatrick. She married William Quimet; he preceded her in death in September 1949. She then married Delwyn K. Kroeger; he preceded her in death on July 3, 1994.
Rose held various jobs throughout her lifetime, her last being and office assistant at Valley Beverage in Davenport. She enjoyed garage sales, crosswords, and sewing. Rose loved her dogs, especially Trace and Duffy, and taking care of her grandson as he grew up.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Billie (Carlton) Huffman and Robin (Douglas) Larson, both of Bettendorf; grandson, Zachary (Erica) Larson; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Jackson; a special niece, Gail (Donald) Yount of Denton, Texas; and many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to both of her husbands, Rose was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William; sisters, Ruth, Betty Jean, and Peggy Jane; and brother-in-law, Fritz Boetger.
