Roseann Paone

Visitation for Rose Ann Paone, 79, of Bettendorf, will be Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, IA.  

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Rose Ann Paone.

Born on March 14, 1945, to her loving parents, John Ross and Martha Below, Rose Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and most importantly, a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.

On June 19, 1971, she married the love of her life, Phil Paone, in Freeport, IL, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and faith. Rose Ann dedicated her career to shaping young minds, working as a teacher in the Rock Island, IL, school system until her retirement in 2008. A proud member of the Lions Club, she cherished spending time with her family and friends, always bringing warmth, kindness, and a heart full of love to those around her.

On Wednesday morning, February 26, 2025, at the age of 79, Rose Ann passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, held in the loving arms of her husband.

Family was one of the greatest joys of her life, and she never missed an opportunity to talk about her beloved grandchildren. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Phil Paone; her children, Julia (Richard) Rivers of Oxford, MI, and Chris (Karen) Paone of Inver Grove Heights, MN; and her treasured grandchildren, Ethan, Jordan, Peytan, and Jaidan. She was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Briella, with another great-grandchild on the way.

She is survived by her dear sister, Mary Jo (Bill) Crain of Huntsville, AL; and her brothers, Michael Ross of Las Vegas, NV, and Robert “Bob” (Sue) Ross of Bourbonnais, IL.

Rose Ann’s faithful heart, kind spirit, and unwavering love left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.
