Rosemary Adkins

Rosemary M. Adkins, 87, a resident of Bettendorf, died Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Iowa Masonic Health Facility.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center or the American Lung Association.
Born on October 26, 1927 in Bettendorf, Rosemary was the daughter of Arthur and Jennie Mae (Moyer) Park. On October 18, 1949 in Bettendorf she married Glen B. Adkins. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1991.
Rosemary was a beautician, working at Ridgecrest Nursing Home and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches, crocheting and cryptograms. Rosemary was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Marian Circle at the church.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Londa (Michael) Rodas of LeClaire, Charlotte (Douglas) Harris of Bettendorf; Christopher (Susan E. Rodgers-Adkins) Adkins of Bettendorf and Paul (Bonnie Alice Riepe-Adkins) Adkins of Muscatine; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her brothers and sisters.
