Rosemary I. (Hancock) Leibold, 75, a resident of Davenport, Iowa, died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 20, 2007 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Scott County.
Rosemary was born March 22, 1932 in Eldon, Iowa, the daughter of Phillip & M. Louise (Mooney) Sedore. She was united in marriage to Glen Hancock on October 28, 1950 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He preceded her in death. She later was united in marriage to Norman Leibold on June 2, 1977 in Davenport.
Rosemary was retired from the former Kimberly Barn store in Davenport. She had worked for the former Turn Style department store in Davenport in earlier years.
She was a 30-year member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress. Her interests included fishing, quilting, collecting porcelain dolls and crocheting items for her beloved family.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Norman; her sons and daughters-in-law, Mike & Micki Hancock, of East Moline, Illinois, Marty & Theresa Hancock, of Princeton, Iowa, and Matt & Pattie Hancock, of Cunningham, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Verla Jean & Don Benson, of Fort Madison, Iowa; and her dogs that were just like her children, Whiskers and Princess.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen; and her brother, Larry Sedore.
