Rosetta Atwater-Wheeler

Rosetta D. Atwater-Wheeler, 82, of Davenport, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.

Rosetta was born April 9, 1931 in Buffalo, Iowa, the daughter of Albert Penrod and Carrie Burris.  She was one of thirteen children.

Rosetta was most recently employed with the Davenport School System.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Jack; her daughters, Tina Atwater, Sonja Hurto and Sue (Kevin) Colby, all of Davenport; her son, Bob (Kathy) Griffin of Muscatine, Iowa; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother.

Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and four brothers.
