Ruby Mae Inez Troxel

Ruby Mae Inez Troxel, 73, of Bettendorf, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 14, 2006.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 16, 2006 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the services on Saturday morning. Per her request, cremation rites will be accorded and burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesis VNA Hospice.
Ruby was born January 16, 1933 in Success, Arkansas, the daughter of George & Bessy Mae (Rogers) Arnold. She was united in marriage to Glenn Troxel on September 15, 1956 in Morris, Illinois.
Ruby will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed quilting.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Glenn; her daughters, Freda M. Merrell, of Bettendorf, Glenda J. Bixby, and her husband, Mike, of Davenport, Iowa, and Kimberly S. Christenson, and her husband, Wally, of Bettendorf; her sons, Mike Troxel, of Arlington, Texas, and Ronald J. Troxel, of Bettendorf; her grandchildren, Brandii, Micky, Josh, Julie, Amanda, Eric, Edward, Chrystal, Nichole, Joseph, and Shelby; numerous great-grandchildren; her sisters, PareLee Poyner, of Seneca, Illinois, Opal Yeary, of Corning, Arkansas, and Yvonne Hamby, of Davenport; and her brothers, Loyed Arnold, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Vernon Arnold, of Williford, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Verdella Crocket and Theresa Arnold; and her brothers, Newton, Francies, Everett, Clarence, Ronnie, and George.
