Rudolph B. "Rudy" Ritter

Rudolph “Rudy” Ritter, 91, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at the Bettendorf Healthcare Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 14, 2005 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born in Davenport, Iowa on July 24, 1913, the son of Bruno & Annie (Beelmann) Ritter.
Rudy farmed the family farm in Pleasant Valley for many years and cared for his mother & father until their deaths many years ago. After retiring from farming, he was employed as a custodian for the Pleasant Valley School District, retiring in 1974.
He enjoyed gardening, loved to play pinochle with his friends and was an avid participant in the regular bingo games at Bettendorf Healthcare Center.
Those left to honor his memory include his brother & sister-in-law, Harry & Jeanette Ritter of Bettendorf; his sisters-in-law, Annie Ritter of Bettendorf and Lillie Ritter of Blue Grass and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Rudy was preceded in death by his brothers, John Ritter, Gus Ritter, Fritz Rittter and Edwin “Hans” Ritter.
