Sally J. Louck, 64, a resident of Joy, Illinois and formerly of LeClaire, Iowa died on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport, Iowa.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Daveneport Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend her service will meet at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf by 10:30 A.M. There will be no visitation. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, P.O. Box 631047, Baltimore, MD 21263-1047.
She was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on October 9, 1941, the daughter of John & Mary (Lessenger) Wiand. On January 21, 1995, she was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Louck in Oahu, Hawaii.
Sally was employed in the custodial department of the Iowa-Illinois Gas & Electric Company for 18 years, retiring in 1999.
Among the things she enjoyed were quilting, gardening and wood-working. She was an accomplished seamstress as well.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Kenneth; her daughters, Julia (Dave) Hintz of Illinois City, Illinois and Brenda (Jeff) Genthe of Littleton, Colorado; her son, Barry (Teri) Bowkers of Princeton, Iowa; her father, John Wiand of Pleasant Valley, Iowa; her brother, Darrell (Sue) Wiand of Blue Grass, Iowa; her step-sons, Randy (Mary) Louck of Aledo, Illinois and Rick (Christa) Louck of Clarksville, Tennessee; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two step-great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, “Greybar.”
She was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Arnold; her mother, Mary Wiand; and by one granddaughter.
