Sandra J. Bergthold, 61, of Davenport, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Monday, November 28, 2011 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.

Sandra was born May 9, 1950 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the daughter of James & Jeanne (Gunter) Garvin.

She was united in marriage to Paul Bergthold Sr. on November 10, 1968 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1990.

Sandra was employed with Mid-American Energy as a Lead Customer Service Associate. In earlier years, she had attended St. Ambrose University and Scott Community College. She enjoyed reading and drawing, but most of all, spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Angela & Dennis Schutte of Davenport; her sons and daughters-in-law, Tony & Tracy Bergthold of Davenport and Michael & Jamie Bergthold of Davenport; her grandchildren, Kirsten, Jolene, Dante, Emily, Greg, Kayleigh, Brody, Rylan and Zoey; her mother, Jeanne Garvin; her sisters, Pat, Marla, Teresa, Belinda &Tammy; and her brothers, Jimmy, Chuck, Richard, John, Bill and Ed.

In addition to her husband, Paul, Sandra was preceded in death by her father, James; her step-father, John Gunter; her sister, Peggy; and her brother, Pete.
