Sandra I. Folland

Sandra I. Folland, 59, of Donahue, Iowa passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Noon on Friday at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Joy Cemetery, Park View. Memorials may be directed to the family. 

Sandra was born on May 13, 1965 in Leon, Iowa the daughter of Sidney and Shirley (Toney) Folland. She graduated from Davenport West High School in 1983. In her earlier years, she worked for Sears Manufacturing. Sandra later worked as a machine operator at Alcoa for over 20 years. While working at Alcoa, she met the love of her life, Allan Goarcke. Sandra enjoyed playing softball, snow skiing, going to theme parks, riding rollercoasters, and camping. She was a devoted Iowa Hawkeyes and NASCAR fan.  

Those left to honor her memory are her loving long term partner of 30 years, Allan Goarcke of Donahue; her mother, Shirley Folland of Davenport; siblings, Albert (Linda) Folland of Grand Mound and Wayne (Diane) Folland of Maysville; sister-in-law, Dawn Folland of LeClaire; nieces and nephews, Sidney Folland, Dustin (Megan) Folland, DJ (Emma) Folland, David Folland, Matt Folland, and Ashley (Chris) Sebert; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and additional loved ones, Nathan, Karrie, Terry, and Jaclyn, Merle (Lorie) Goarcke of Georgia, Rodney Goarcke of Texas, Diane (Mark) Crouch of Maquoketa, Iowa, Debbie (Mark) Templeton of Florida, and Janet (Roger) Ford of Muscatine, Iowa. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Sidney; and her brother, Donald.
