Scott Woodruff

Scott A. Woodruff, 51, of Davenport, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, in Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2017 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will held one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens in Davenport.
Scott was born in Iowa City on June 1, 1966, the son of Gary Sr. & Geraldine (Hicks) Woodruff. He had been employed with Oakdale Memorial Gardens, the Quad-City Times and the Flying J Truck Stop. He coached baseball and basketball for several years. He also enjoyed camping and family gatherings.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Katlynn Woodruff and Clara Woodruff, both of Davenport; his mother, Geraldine Woodruff of Davenport; his sisters, Felicia (Vern) Keeney of Sun City, Arizona, Minda (James) Pecoraro of Davenport and Danielle (Timothy) Woodruff of Davenport; his brothers, Gary Jr. (Doris) Woodruff of Davenport, Walter (Brenda) Woodruff of Davenport, Kevin (Kelly) Woodruff of Eldridge and Brian (Amy) Woodruff of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews; his children’s mother, Jennifer Avery of Davenport; and a special friend, Megan Curtis of Davenport and her children, Zachary, Jordan and Kohry.
Scott was preceded in death by his father and his son, Kalob Scott Woodruff on February 28, 2006.
