Shannon M. Arguello, 33, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away Thursday, August 28, 2003 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport following a brief illness.
Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or the Children’s Miracle Network, both of Iowa City, Iowa.
Shannon Marie Arguello was born October 1, 1969 in Davenport, the daughter of Frank & Debbie (Schieberl) Arguello. She graduated from Bettendorf High School, class of 1988 and attended the University of Iowa. Shannon was a life-long resident of Bettendorf and recently resided with her parents, also of Bettendorf.
She was a career federal employee and was currently employed as a Personnel Staffing Specialist at the Civilian Personnel Operations Center-North Central Region located at the Rock Island Arsenal.
Shannon loved spending time with her 5 year-old son, Joshua, shopping with her mom, collecting music, playing cards with her family and spending time with her fiancé, Mark, her family, friends and co-workers.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Joshua; her parents, Frank & Debbie Arguello; her brothers, Eric of Tallahassee, Florida and Nathan of Bettendorf; her maternal grandparents, Emrel & Martha Schieberl of Bettendorf; her paternal grandmother, Alice Arguello of Bettendorf; her aunts & uncles, John & Linda Arndt, Guy & Rhonda Carnahan, Jeff & Sharon Schieberl, Michael Arguello, Pat & Patty Arguello, Tom & Nancy Arguello, Phyllis Wells, Lynn Arguello and Lisa Arguello. She is also survived by her fiancé and special friend, Mark Packer of Erie, Illinois.
Shannon was preceded in death by her grandfather, David Arguello.
She was a special friend to all and will be dearly missed by those who knew & loved her. May she rest in peace.
