Sharon A. Frerker, 64, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Thursday December 26, 2013 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be held Monday December 30, 2013 from 4 PM – 7 PM at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa, with a prayer service at 4 PM. Burial will be at Oakdale Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or The Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Sharon was born October 26, 1949 in East Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Dorothy (Mellinger) DePaepe. She married Richard Frerker on June 16, 1984 in East Moline, Illinois. Sharon got her Associates Degree from Black Hawk College in Radiology and worked as an X-Ray Technician. She also worked at the Arsenal Daycare watching Kaiden and Gaven Rentz, whom she adored.
Sharon enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, traveling, and eating Whitey’s ice cream. She took a lot of pride in her two children Darin and Nicholas, and enjoyed spending time with both of them. Sharon helped out with numerous special needs activities, participating with her son Nicholas.
Sharon will be remembered by: her husband Richard, Davenport; two sons Darin and Nicholas, both of Davenport; brother David DePaepe and family, Minneapolis, MN; and Aunt Helen DePaepe, East Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents.
